Few of my dearest friends are moving on to their next phase in life entitled 'Army Daze' this week.Somehow i feel really excited for them. Results collection in less than one month's time and it isn't helping to alleviate this sensation at all. Suspense can indeed be quite a bitch at times & it always feels longer when you're living through it but i'm sure we'll all move on pretty soon for one month's time is shorter than you know it.

5th Month into the year 2010 and yet its my 1st post.
Not to worry, as much as i have seemed to abandon this personal URL of mine, i have not.
Contrary to that, in fact i have been wanting to document fragments of my 2010 & the last few months of 2009 into this space here, but attempts have been frail.
I suppose its due to the fact that my intentions are not fervent enough to be manifested.
More than often, i would subscribe to deluding myself to believe that i am able to recall the insights & inspirations that come to me in the spur of the moment at any point i want to when it is actually, highly impossible.

As i delve deeper in to JC2 life, i have been gaining more insights, primarily because i joined the School Of Thought. It has offered me so much paradigms to ponder upon. I have come to learn that Life is Perspective and i am a strong advocate of such a believe.

At the core of our existence,man is essentially in a perpetual search for advancement of his Will. Will is the ability to choose & One of the most fundamental advancements is the development of choice. Even then, there are so much tangibles & intangibles out there that limit our choices.

Life is Perspective & Choice. Our world is integrated, people & places connect & in our generation, Perspective & Choice are not mutually exclusive and i guess this is due to the evolution of time and space.

I definitely hope i am making more sense out of my life right now but a small part of me reminds me daily that i am doing so at the expanse of complicating my internal reality sometimes. I have also been in the search of various faiths/beliefs recently. In my attempt to simplify matters, sometimes my original agenda do backfires. Life is such irony & yet this is what makes it interesting.

I've been enjoying my post PW period until this morning.

In the midst of having all sorts of fun, i had been subconsciously ill-treating my health.
Apart from which, the horrid weather ain't making things any better.

Result : I'm down with conjunctivitis( swollen eye + eyesore )

Went to the DOC. & requested for anything that can help me recover by the next day.
The thought of skipping dance is indeed horrifying, am already faring badly, cannot lag behind any further.

The doctor prescribed some eye drops & eye lubricant WHICH COSTS $10!
The pharmacists thought he was inexperienced and changed the lubricant to one that costs $0.60 instead.

I left the Polyclinic with a 3 days MC, eye drops & eye lubricants.

I'd rather EYEMO as compared to all these though, they're my Deus Exmachina to the eye irritations, ok maybe not but somewhere close.

So, I'd been hanging around all day attempting to get myself in good shape or at least rid off the swollen eyes in order to exhibit my visage, ha!

There's progress but i still need my shades or people will just freak out.

I spent my whole day looking like a Peter Chao, & its rather cool to be imitating your idol > : ) .

Time waits for no man?

Startles me how quickly time slips off your fingers when you stop noticing.
I have not posted anything substantial for 12 weeks and i must say the time seemed much shorter while i was living through them.

Yet to thank dancequeen-ruishan for revamping the layout. thanks ah!
have totally no idea how these html codes operate, all i know is copy&paste encodings. ha!

So, what's up?

I had been trying to look at things on a broader perspective since cause i realised my scope of vision was simply too narrow.

I have then stole the chance to catch Hannah Montana the Movie & yes, it is awesome.
After much research, I'm really impressed by the Cyrus' Family's talents.

Have been watching quite a fair bit of Movies lately & below are some of my top recommendations.

They all share something in common, and that, being the emotions of every character are drawn out really well.

My post promos period is kept occupied with the highly adored PW & dance.
Speaking of which, PW is coming to a closure in less than 5 days time & that will mark the end of
this year's Academia curriculum.

Apart from which, i am still socially active.

Went to the Night Safari Halloween with the NDP dudes 2 weeks ago, was not exactly very thrilling though but i was great to have met up with them ha!

I am faring badly in conditioning exercises, diet & sometimes sleep.
Signed up AVVENTURA 2010 with Aziel under the Team name : Mudakoambalagan
& it'll be my remedy to all that.

Training starts tonight.

After spending my past 4 nights at my Grand Aunt's wake, having lots of insightful conversations with my relatives, I've been feeling thinking a lot about everything.

Anyway, i have incurred this dreamy sensation since the conversation with Natalie last night but it'll come to an end soon as OP is on the prowl.

These things that i have mentioned are giving me thoughts of relinquishing my past plans and embracing new ones.

Im feeling less inclined to blog, life is just way too packed. But i know its still a must, to keep you people updated.

I'll keep it short for i still have a pile of assignments to work on & dinner with my relatives later in the day.

I've been officially acepted into TPJC's track & field team together with Jing Han, & with Robert Lee Zhan Wei as our boss, its just a matter of time before we blend in together with the rest of team. I just abhor the introduction part where we have to break the ice and all, hope we can just fastforward to the point when people starts to click. Well, guess its just a fixed cycle of meeting friends.

Semestral Exams had really been blight.
simply saying, if my results were to be reflected on my end of year promos result slip, i will have to stay back for an extra additional year of education.
I'm lucky to say, this had also brought me to my senses, time to mug.

Friday was good, went to eat with zhan wei, cheryl lua, sharon & gabsiew after track&field meeting.Head down to coastasands for a short swim thereafter, bought some tasty subway cookies to munch on ( that was when i saw jane) & left for home.

Sat, brought P5 kids from Red Swastika School to Marina floating stadium for NE show2.
throughout the show, i was submerged in a deep sense of nostalgia. The class that i interacted with ( 5/2) most of the time really reminded me of what i was like during p5 together with mingswee, edmund, liangkai & gang. Those were really good times man.

& SG is really a small world for
1. One of the students that i took is Brendan Lim's youngest brother, total smaller scaled carbon copy of him.
2. One of the Red Swas teacher is my eldest brother's good buddy, who's also a member of AHS Boys Brigade years ago!

I walked in to the school not expecting to meet anyone i know, then i went into one of their store rooms to get ready the fun packs for the p5 kids, then this teacher turned to me all of a sudden and went " how's your brother ? "
yeah so that was when i realized, i actually met this guy before.

Well, im suprised that my stress level hasn't bloated up yet despite knowing that i'll be ending school @ 6pm everyday for the rest of this week.

Hope that i'll remain cheered. ( shouldn be a problem with regular dosage of bullshit from farmer hong) hahaha.

sorry that this blog is in a chronic state of stagnancy, i will find time to make up for sure.
For now, studies come first, 9 more weeks to promotional examinations. yeeha!

4th - 22nd : i have no idea what happened already, i just know i was not feeling very comfortable.

20th May TPJC SPORTS DAY
: took part in the 12X100 m relay event and my class got 5th. Thou results aren't very satisfying but i guess everyone tried.
stayed back for some edurace rehersal rubbish after which and that made 09s27,28,29 wait for 4-5 hours to no avail. So, that finally enlightened me on the efficiency & competency of the School's staff, well it isnt too much of a suprise anyway.
If this is the example that teachers are setting for us, then, the teachers shouldn't be too demanding of us.

29th -31st May
: Overnight LAN session with aziel, jiajie, jianfeng &
Modern Dance Club BBQ cum stayover in school

Went for an overnight lan session with the 3 peeps mentioned @ crossfire, then left for school @ 7.15am. Trained for panorama til around 2pm then i left for home with gabriel, to sleep coz the lan session had taken its toll on me, while MDC were having games in school.
I heard the games were rather cool, they played stuff like Chocolate relay,
teams of 4, team have to finish a bar of chocolate while completing 1 round of the track.

woke up in the evening and went for MDC BBQ.
Mixed a concoction of diluted orange syrup with jiamin , ate , watched& listen to tzy haw flaunt his guitar skills & had a mini sing-along session.

Went for games after that and i think that was the highlight of the whole stayover which also blew everyone else and i onto cloud9.
after splitting into groups of 4, my group comprising of joeyee, eugene & leslie.
We had to run around the school & search for clues while holding on to chin chow into our hands,
someth like a mini-nightwalk-amazingrace. Instructions had been given that the group with the least chin chow collectively will have to eat up all the chinchows. I guess that made the game really sexciting and gave rise to the series of guirella warfare, where try to spill other group's chinchow.
The clues eventually piece up the name of a genre of dance & we had to design costume & choreograph a dance item on the spot with close reference to the genre. my group's genre really interesting and completely complements my personality, we got bhangra! ( bollywood,indiani dance). [ you can watch the dance item on facebook ]
i must say that was the best time i had with MDC thus far, i had fun TTM.

Bathed & chilled after which, Mr Sum did someth really horny that got me laughing through the night LOL.
Went back to studio and slept, while the bulk of the ppl played cards & stuff.
Woke up the next morn & left for home

1 - 3rd June:

1st june was spent in school rehersing for panorama, the funny thing is that juzhong & i led MDC in rehersals @ the later part of the day due to certain reasons that cant be disclosed.

2nd June was spent @ esplanade rehersing the whole fucking day, it was also then i really talked to the MDC peeps cause there was practically nothing to do while waiting for other performing arts groups to reherse.
this was what happened, we started rehersal @ 9.30am and finished @ 10.30am
we had nothing to do all the way until 4.30pm for the full rehersal.
Learnt more about the people in MDC, hmm, well, its not a complete waste of time afterall.
went home @ approximately 7.

3rd June - Panorama!

I thought i was late cause i woke up at 8.10 am when the bus is supposedly leaving TPJC for esplanade @ 8.30am. I rushed and took the train to cityhall, bought some breakfast while talking to chelsia to settle tickets stuff & wasted alot of time thinking that would be sufficient to escape 1 rehersal. AMAZINGLY, i was still early when i reached esplanade.

that day was really packed, rehersed twice in total before the actualy performance.
learnt how to play this cool card game called BANG, its rather amusing when you go like,
hey jiamin, i want to bang you. The game also revealed each other's skills in being a scheming asshole and the sore losers.

before long, we were up on stage, exhibiting the michael jackson in everyone of us.
I enjoyed the dance.
Rushed down with rachel to meet up with the dudes who came to watch the concert after which.
I really appreciate you guys for coming though i didn express it the other day cause i was too busy socializing, im sorry if i disappointed you guys,

4th June,
Had GP tutorial in the noon, talked to my GP teacher WHICH IS SAMUEL's FATHER [ SAMUEL FROM AHS 4L'08 ] , chilled at lionel's house then went to watch TPJC guitar concert - MUCHACHOS DEL TANGO.
the German Hitler Ensemble that came to perform is awesome.

6th - 7th June

Went for NDP usher training in the morn, 9am @ NgeeAnn Poly.
Went in late tgt with gabsiew & eugene.
The day was rather well organised and played a lot of games which required teamwork & much analytical skills which i liked.
Went to SIM for lunch and continued with games after which.
Inbetween, the founder of heartware organisation gave a speech which sparked me.
60 people will be picked amongst the 400 NDP volunteer ushers to be the personal assistants of some bigshot CEOs @ the end of the year for one whole week.
sounds pretty OSSUM.
met Andrea & Qian ye there as well.
Slacked around with gabriel and andrea for a short while before making my way to CZZ 'slope king no more', house.
his place is SUPERB, its fully airconditioned, theres a really big pool table, some 40 inch tv coupled with a WII console that has GUITAR HERO WORLD TOUR.
that place is a total stress reliever, if you dont want to study, thats the place to go!
did our stuff til 4-5am ++ and slept.

woke up at 9+ the next morning, went out for brunch, continued slacking all the way til 4+, bballed and made our way home.

i had the best week of 2009.

I haven't been showing appreciation for the people around me and have been taking them for granted recently. I know of this existing problem, yet i haven't been doing anything to resolve it.
i deserve a slap on the face. I'm so sorry guys, esp to Aziel & Chelsia.
I think i need some time to rest & sort out my thoughts properly.
Im also very sorry for this poor quality of work, i just wanna let you people know what's been happening

hope you had a really smashing bday celebration with us(SUSHI.C + MEIHUA & SHANNON) just now although its just like any other celebration with S.C where we ate talked and took photos.
& i must say that you're extremely blessed to have met shannon&meihua! they're awesomely thoughtful, i mean, who in the right mind will plan so much for someone that he/she has known only for 2 weeks! Though i may not know them but their sincerity had already been fortified by their actions! Poly may not be that bad for you afterall!
yeah,you should know this better than i do.

This week was relatively short, went to school for the 1st 3 days & yes, i met sheena on wed!
hahah, there's just this surge of joy that i feel everytime i meet up with her.

On thurs, i met up with aziel early in the morning @ Pasir Ris Polyclinic to get our medical certs.
Interestingly, there's this booth set up for people who's having flu & fever & your sorta jump into the express queue(due to the recent H1N1 FLU outbreak) and thus having to wait lesser time to consult the highly-educated M.C authorizer.
Went home after which with the intention to hit the books, well, ended up exercising our fingers together with nicholas through some intensive strategic gaming sesion.

Went out on labour day's night with fangying to get edmund's present@ orchard & yes we talked quite alot & rather substantially.
& so we mentioned about our lives then she said something which i thought is really insightful
FY ' in order to experience fun, it has a lot to do with one's attitude & on top of that , one must take the initiative to make things fun .'

so, for those out there who's complaining about ur jc life & stuff. here's something for you to ponder upon. Abolish the negative attitude towards whatever that you feel unpleasant about & take more initiative to make things happen! well, i guessthats what i really needed.

Reached home at around 12am or so from orchard then i helped my brother gave out flyers for car insurance @ 7 different carparks in pasir ris in the midst of struggling against faitgue simultaneously. Though my brother didn reward me with any incentives, i felt extrmely rewarded ironically, precisely because he did not offer me any reward. Well, this spirit of offering help but expecting nothing in return is indeed amazing.. Try it. So i finished at 3am and K.O on my bed at 4.

I can't wait to participate in the Angels& Demons race with Edmund next week, if we have been selected that is. Selected participants will be given 2 A&D shirts & 2 movie tix for A&D.

before i embark on the highly dreaded Preliminary Ideas for PW & other school-related tasks,
i shall make a succulent short post to sum up yesterday.

2j birthday celebration for nickelbat, bermuda & girl-whos-dieting-for-17-years.

met up with the usual 2j bunch, at around 6.30pm @ E!HUB & of course it goes without saying, i was the earliest to reach. Dined at BUDDY HOAGIES. the quality of the food there's unexpectedly better than i thought though the portions kinda small. Had a really great time talking & catching up with one another, both chris and weihua are really lucky for having quite a number of pretty girls in their classes. Then the girls started expressing their narcissitic qualities with their 'never-do-without' cameras, the guys were bored so we followed suit! lol.

Aziel & Mendel received a pink and a blue 'indian-like-curly-hair-huggable-teddy-bear'
& diet-girl got some playboy boxers.

took more photos then the guys and the girls went seperate ways while some went home.
girls went to mahjong & the guys went to work out our fingers @ tmart lanshop.

went home at around 12+ & caught alil bit of jacky wu's show.

Well, thou the short night isn't very special as compared to other birthday celebrations but
as compared to school-days, it draws in stark contrast! Comparing them relatively, i was on cloud9 last night hahah, thats how fantastic my school life is!

yeah 2j,thanks man, every time we meet up, it never fails to bring me joy.

yeah , im really appreciative of the sec3s councillors for arranging transport(serene's dad gam sia zueh zueh) for my drumset, for organising the promenade night for the sec4s. Im really glad & grateful that Prom night was really enjoyable, you know some school's prom has merely 100+ attendance over the 400 ppl cohort.

Oh yes, recently my neighbours lodged a complaint to the police about me for making too much noise with my drumset, so i had a 15 minute chit-chatsession with the Chief Commissioner of the Police Force over this really big issue. He told me my neighbour was kinda jealous as i could execute all the 40+ rudiments on my beloved Carlos drumset and at the end i decided to give in to him.

So now, im selling my acoustic carlos 5 piece drum set @ $500! , $475 if ure someone i know , $450 if ure a friend, $425 if ure a really good friend!
Delivery costs , additional $40!!

POST-PROM
i went out almost daily in fact but somehow i managed to get back my beauty sleep and some valued rest.i did spent time looking for jobs, but i was being too choosy and in the end i was left with the door to door ice cream selling joband oh yes its the best job ever offered in singapore, really good job experience!!

Let me touch on what happened after 2 days of ice cream selling, afterwhich rendered me no choice but to QUIT.

On the first day, they do not have enough of the carts, so me nichDS weihua did together,climbed a total of 4 blocks at Hougang St 52 blk 699a-699d. We sold around 70+ sticks of solero split @ 1 buck each and it was a 30% commision based job, and after splitting the pay we each got about $7 each ( for 4 hours!!!!!)

and oh man, indians family are the best, none of them bought from us at all. Actually one did, but we were supposed to sell the sticks in packages of 6but she only bought 3...... so we had to sell the remaining 3 extra sticks but couldn and ended up munching them.

Day 2

Mendel and i travelled all the way to Serangoon thinking of hacking some $$ off the Serangoon garden residents but wtf it was worse than the first day.

First encounter, I knocked on this door and before i could say anything, this ah-beng-looking-fella opened the door and said " Why you knock on my door, cheebye fuckers"
wtf, i was just trying to earn some $$...

2nd encounter,
Me " Hi mdm, im from walls, my company is currently having a promotion , we're selling bla bla bla, why dont you buy some for your kids?"
Aunty " erm, im afraid im not buying any, because you see my kids are rather picky, they would only consume 'Haagen-Dazs' & 'Ben&jerrys' "
what the fuck, i didn know there are such cocky singaporeans, i only thought caucasians were like that.
Man, they really talk until as if their penis shoot money .... haagen daz and b&js....

But, now you really know what a bad job experience is, ha at least i got to learnt something from this, that thereare still some singaporeans out there who are really fucked up.

Of course, i met this really nice lady too staying in one of the terraces, she came to us and bought 6 of the solero splits then she said' wah you boys take on such a tough job to earn some allowance, dont work la, come give me your Resume, i help you find a better job thru agencies'

so i earnt only $4.50 on day 2.

this sums up my crap day, i really hope to get a nice and decent job that i really can benefit from besides the pay.hopefully im able to find one that i can learn new skills until i go for my indo trip to Christianto Budhiharjo's house for 8 days(13th-20th) withWeihua Aziel JiaJie Mendel!!!

Tthe holidays passed as quickly as how jiajie ran for 2.4, just like the wind.

Its also the first time i treasured a 1 week break so much, everyday passed is a day closer to prelims round2.

okay so basically the hols were spent ( in chronological order)

sunday : Spent the whole day @ Johorbahru, City square.
caught 2 movies , Meet Dave & Zohan(AGAIN) for the price of 1 ticket in SG ( $8++) !!!
Zohan wasnt really good cause ya know its in Malaysia and they censored almost every part where Adam Sandler gave the Old ladies some bangboom, so the humour level sorta halved.

& coincidentally , its Malaysia's national day on that day so everything went on DISCOUNT!!

then... the rest of the weekdays were spent studying alittle & gaming almost everyday til late at night with 2j folks & Edmund Tan Peh Hork. si bei song.

Friday : I went to Cityharvest (jurong west). MJ & CHURCH , what an oxymoron!!
okay la but it was rather enjoyable with the rest of my classmates , thanks ah gina & fangying.
Edmund supposed to go but he sneakingly went somewhere else and told us he had something urgent, what a peh hork.

i remembered someday telling us an anecdote about the evolution from caterpillar to a bfly & it was rather interesting, reminded me of the one that zhuting blogged before.

Went to a nearby kopitiam after which, and on the way we saw LOTS OF chunkits camping at the ATM MACHINES!! PAY DAY!! hoseh ah.

Last 2 days were spent studying of course , yeah that sums up my hols.

August 2008 had been a great mth , very fun from NDP til the start of the hols.

okay anyway ,
went Safra's Bayrun with aziel, eugene , nelson , matthew & benjamin tan the day before prelims not too far a distance - 10 km, what a great way to spend your morn hahah. this run is rather enjoyable compared to other runs/races i'd been thru , how often do you see bands playing , cheerleaders in their very revealing apparels ^ ^ rooting for you when you run! & ya, its pretty well organised , guess im gonna participate in more Safra events.

well, thres another event called SAFRA AVventura coming up next year 11th january

26th July, Saturday - The Founders Award Presentation Ceremony

It was my first & last time wearing the Ceremonial Dress + anklets. It is supposed to be the highest & most prestigious award someone can attain in his 4 years of Senior BB life. However i felt otherwise for the 'Prestigious' part, there were 204 recipients! Undeniably, i felt really good still.

Venue : Singapore Swimming Club , Tanjong Rhu. ( beside Dunman High's campus )
Basically, it was a 9-course dinner + prize presentation and sharing of testimonies by former BB boys. One of which is Mr Khoo Boon Hui, Commissioner of Police, Singapore Police Force also the GOH of that day. The 9-course meal was not as promising as it sounded, nevertheless it was the best meal i had in the last 4 years with BB. ( as compared to baked beans, Maggi noodles spammed with MSG, tuna, chicken franks etc. )

Wassup, the entire day's activities been summarized on Jane's blog <--Click me weihua Nicholas and Jiajie arrived pretty much earlier than Uncle Hassan. & yeah we had a hell lot of fun AIR BENDING.

On the whole ,AHS NDP08 was ecstatic, the parade was not too bad. The only hooha that shocked me was that the dude whom i preceded did not put on his cap. Rest of the performances were pretty good. i heard this was the first time sec4s put in so much effort for the cheering competition. i liked 4f's , 4l's where chongrui put on the Mas Selamat mask and my class' of course. It's a pity that sokkoon did not shake her booty with us. awww

June hols, my dream

been 2.5 weeks into the holidays , haven caught up much on work yet but im still feeling cool thou. basically i'd taken my time off for respite, doing things to free myself from the suppressing pressure of Os.

these are what i've been doing :

spent the first week going back to school daily for make ups/orals/o lvls chink until friday.
the 2j gigs slept over at jiajie's hse on thurs after Orals, i brought my sepak takraw along hoping that we'll have time to challenge some neighbourhood-friendly malay mats. we spotted a group of malay homies at simei but they're just too good for gigs like us. spent our time @ jj's hse killing a coakroach,watching movies,flirting with jiajie's sister( she's a crosscountry first, man its in their genetics already), listening to guitar guru nicholas david playing his latest singles -fall for you, he's not too bad. so we suppered @ this hawker centre and we felt a tinge of adulthood. i mean like you know, wearing singlets & boxers in a group of 5-6, talking shit, its a good feeling. its just like those erm old aged randy men talking abt their little mistresses in batam that sorta feeling.
sent wh back home ,watched movie & slept. so next morning we were all having a terrible stomache & missed school.
ps. the gigs were randy too, i mean they spent the whole time trying to haf a peep at this very enormous johnson(too large to be sustained in its enclosure) esp mendel.

on sat, it was class bbq , not as enjoyable as 2j's but its not too bad. i really appreciate the planning committee's effort for all this man, be it shopping for the food or what, thanks all those who contributed . for those who didn come, they should seriously question themselves, where's their gratitude man. anyway most of the time was spent with geof, gerald & those who were cooking. the marshmellow cum satay sauce cum fruit punch satay tasted pretty good. biked home with geof.

the following wed , went for sakae with BB. didn really satisfy my tummy , the quality of sakae's product is getting poorer and the variety of the student's buffet is just too limited. had quite alot of fun due to the number guessing game & the wasabi + raw eggwhite + green peas combo.
thanks officers council for the treat. balled after that at a court near bengan's hse, it was some solid balling.

on fri, headed down to downtown's coffee bean to study with liangkai & qian ye. left early thou & went back again to find liang.

tuesday ( yesterday )

went bowling with the same 2j gigs at downtown, E!hubs convinient but still rather boring need some improvement with their retails. its quite a family-place thou. waited very long for our turn in the bowling alley so we went to the arcade in search of something interesting. there was, indeed, para-para dancers they are professional jokers, i mean their precisions are so cool/professional but comical. dang, it was fully booked , didn have a chance to exhibit some shangbo-para para mode impersonation. settled our dinner at Mr Chicken Rice & we saw tay tong wei shopping at PRIMA DELI. great choice. its not that i have anything against prima deli but its too temptational to open ur mouth & let off some comments. He's tong wei now cause he isn teaching at ahs anymore, jimmy is back. anyway he joined us for dinner and we joked alot, talked abt finding a perfect match for him in ahs, then we settled on the hottest relief teacher in the whole of eastern estates, miss krystal. its like, aww man putting 2 relief teachers together, how loving. found out some facts about tong wei, 1. he's from prps 2. stays in pasir ris 3. single 4. cool. 5. went to prima deli to buy cake for himself for his bday, i mean its kinda cool of him to do that, sharing the joy of his birthday. 6. seeing that he's so lonely, neighbour-hood friendly pasirians such as me and aziel asked for his contact number, 2j's able to ask him out for supper at in the future, yeeha. bowled after that, az & wh went on a striking spree, mendel's a loser. sat down at the grass patch beside wild wild wet like how indians do in India according to aziel & local indians in little india during thaipusam. fooled around & went home aft that.

today, nothing much happened. went jogging with edmund in the evening, down drive 3, turn to loyang tua pek kong, into loyang industrials & back where we started. a short run & it made me realise how weak i'd become. well i guess i need more of such temporary discomfort, it really does you a world of good.

i'd also been gaming with 2j dudes and with wh to the extent of 5-6 in the morn.

rather relaxed i should say but not all the time are spent valuelessly.

I'd been watching documentaries on history channel , wow they're rather interesting.

Well , on my previous post , i mentioned about My Pride.

Today i would like to talk about My Dream.

Since the age of 11 , i'd been longing to become a Fighter Pilot & til now, i would still like to be one but i dont want to just serve SAF, i hope i'm able to join the United Nations Fighter Pilot Squadron & kill Osama.

Well , much of why i want to fly is due to my brother's inspiration.
He inspired me to wanting to fly. Not that he is a pilot, in fact he isnt , actually he's a Weapons System Officer ( WSO ) in the Airforce, under ADA ( Air Defence Artillery ) , you know those who shoot down planes. He's mad , he's able to complete 30++ pull ups nearly 40 , run , lift dumbbells of weight 22.5kg each. To sum it up , he's fit , he's got the brains, he's an officer, he is powerful, he's my idol or more.
& he said something "The only way that will make me respect/look up to you is for you to become a Pilot, cause it isnt easy"
Furthermore he told me about the privelleges that pilots have & how challenging their trainings can be & so much more and it was then i developed my interest to FLY.

I'd made up my mind & sorta found a path for myself after Os towards this very dream of mine.
& ya those are the stuff that i'd been reseraching about.
After Os/Prelims i'll apply for Singapore Youth Flying CLub , then during NS , i hope I'll be recruited into the OCS Air Wing after my BMT, then I'll serve the SAF for the moment. well coz i have no idea how to get into the UN's squadron for now , so i'll research on it on my way.

the photos nvr fails to amaze me time and time and again, each time i look at them the more i want to be like him.

This is the F-16 Flying Falcon. If im not wrong this is one of SG's best planes thus far.
To other pilots, it may be also known as the Viper & is specially designed & developed by the USAF ( United States Air Force ) for dogfighting.

In piloting terms, dogfighting refers to fighter planes close-combat 1v1 fighting.

Really cool, there are many versions of it thou ranging from A - I. I being the latest & best one so far costing at about US$70 million for one.

They belong to the 4th generation of planes. & they run on avionics if im not wrong..

I bet it can thrash a F-15 in a dogfight, face down.
Its small & versatile, unlike the F-15 although records have shown that F-15 hasn been shot down before.

There are quite a number of F-16s in the SAF , so i might be flying them someday.

If I'm not wrong the Black Knights flew F-16s during the Singapore Air Show earlier on this year.

Some random fact : Flying on an F-16 for 1hr costs about $33,000 SGD.

They are aircrafts in the SYFC, so yeah they might not look appealing but never undersestimate them. They are the primary stage of aircrafts that im gonna fly someday, my stepping stone.

Hopefully they'll do me some good in helping me achieve my dreams , flying a F-22 Raptor or a F-35 Lightning II.

I'd been doing my homework, so now i roughly know how to get into SYFC & i have a senior in SYFC so he might be able to help. yeeha.

However, during my service in SAF, i would like to join 140 Squadron, The Ospreys.
among the many flying squadrons in SG , The Ospreys had been awarded as the best flying squadron in SG for 2 consecutive years & it currently resides at Tengnah Air Base.

Tengah houses the RSAF's F16 Fighting Falcons, E2C Hawkeyes and A4SU Super Skyhawks.

I am not only proud of the 12 who raced but the 15 who have put in so much effort regardless of all the humps that you'd face throughout since day 1. Regardless whether you are a Lance Corporal or a Staff Sergeant, we definitely did well and have no regrets.

'The amount of effort you put into trainings determine our stand in the competition' - that’s bullshit. However, it determined who we are today.

Who we are now, we owe it all to the AQ planning committee and especially to our very own Chairman Sim Chong Rui.

A tribute to Chairman Sim:

You are the best. & especially towards the approach of AQ08. You suffered the torments of scolding and pressure from every angle. All arrows were pointing towards you although some actions are done with good intentions; it was a period of maelstrom for you. BUT, you surpassed it all. You rose up a team of juveniles although you were a little lacking in experience at the beginning & you slowly develop and grew together with us, boys you brought up.The debrief you gave yesterday touched every one of us; you were overly sincere & that put an end across all the doubts we do or do not have in you. We were at all ears, because you had proven yourself, your belief in us. You said your mind; you shared what you have with us, & again, thanks Chairman Sim.

This is chairman sim, distorted.

All of us have grown, we gone through thick and thin together, times where we were about to give in to the enticing respite, however we overcome them and progressed on. We all know there’s a winner in everyone of us, we completed the race. We might have gotten 1st. Attributes to win the competition constitutes 90%; the other 10% is something called luck as said by OUR beloved Chairman C R Sim. We have abundance in that 90%, we can even donate to other teams, but we lacked the other 10%. How unlucky. What we have achieved is immaterial, we can't see it but we know ourselves, how much we have gained.

At the same time, we’re so lucky; Lucky to be part of 14th’s AQ team, lucky to be here together as fate bounds us together, lucky to experience the taste of ADVENTURE. How many out there are able to experience what we did? NO ONE else, just us.

No regrets team, no regrets, as we have all shown to the public BB14th's FIGHTING SPIRIT.

Blazing through…

3 words to describe my team: Sure & Stedfast. We were sure of our intentions, our path & of course, one another we were just unsure of unforeseen problems, it killed us. However, I want to thank my team for all that we’d gone through.

Summary
Team 112

My team took the head start & met up with the other 14th team after the horn. The next 500 meters or so, 14th was in the lead. The first unforeseen problem took its course & we slowed down but soon after we caught up again from 1st to 13th then to 1st again. 2nd unforeseen problem, we took the wrong turn & by the time we reached the rock climbing station, we were position 40th. Chairman & myself flew through the rocks while bengan & jinghan, our navigators, made sure we head the correct & fastest way to the next CP. We treaded on and soon caught after other teams, & eventually the other 14th coy team @ NUS area. They were stuck for roughly half an hour. We moved on together & separated after a traffic light. We took the correct turn after the separation then we dashed straight to school. We were position 18th.

Jinghan plotted our map for leg 2; Bengan went to shit while me and chongrui restored our energy by spamming muesli bars & water. The other 14th team arrived finally; they were position 20+ if I am not wrong.

We continued on with the race after affirming our routes. We breezed walk to the next CP, Micro Navigation A.K.A closed terrain. We saw many teams there; some took nearly an hour whilst the fastest took no more than 13 minutes. The other 14th coy team arrived 20 minutes after us. Next was biking, we raced through the park connectors & at this railway track CP, I boiled. ‘Fuck’ was what I had in mind. The checkpoint does not tally with the one on the route card. It says ‘Unused railway track’ & the actual CP was 500 meters after the unused railway track. We cycled around and wasted about 1-2km of distance. (Oh, we were positioned 8th then). All of a sudden 4 – 5 teams zoomed past, inclusive of the other 14th team. When we claimed to the marshal there’s an error on the route map, he replied ‘I don’t care, just carry on’or at least something like that.

We went pushed our bikes across some muddy terrain, carried them up and down an overhead bridge and proceed on to our next CP – Archery & Kayaking. Jinghan & Bengan went to Tanglin Sec for the Archery while Chairman & myself went for kayaking – our forte. Again, we saw the RI team who won 1st for AQ last year, they’re all bald & their kayaking skills are still as lousy.Chairman & I caught up with nearly 5 teams & we waited for the other 2 while we’re done. 2 teams left, and then it was us. It was the final dash. One way route to school and that’s that. The only way to win is by speed. On the way back, we saw Zong Zuo’s team. (Position 12th then) As we progressed we saw the 1st Open team, we passed them as crams shackled one of their team members. We breeze walk and jogged and confirmed our position was 12th until we met this team that comprises 3 Chinese and an Indian. We can definitely win them in the last 100 meters dash, well, for goodness’ sake, WHY IN THE WORLD IS THERE A TRAFFIC LIGHT SITUATED THERE, we lost by a traffic light. As we took our final leap, woo hoo, we saw our dear fans.

Thank you all. (CLT Wilson, Sheena Yi, Zi Xiang, Geoffrey, Chelsia, Li Jing, Vanessa Chow)But later on I overheard CLT Wilson saying that the actual position 10 was removed because they didn’t do well in archery, so the team with the Indian got 10th and of course the metal plated cup. How’s that?

Team 172
They’re a great team comprising of 3 lovely sec3s & cute Keane. Honestly, I feel that their level of physical fitness is comparable to my team however they’re held back due to unforeseen problems, again. They made it to 1st position for 3 instances but they were suay, just as we were.Every time we meet, it’s always Keane in the lead, pushing the team through, well done boy.Yong Chen’s good, his latency was the best part of him isn’t it? He only gets tired during the aftermath of the race. Hahaha, good joke Wilson. & then there’s the ever-so optimistic Victor Ong whereby nothing gets into his way & of course My junior since primary school, Jonathan Tay. He is good but crams got the better of him towards the end.

JonTay: Learn how to manage them or even counter them & nothing can take you down.

2 sec 2s & 2 sec 4s. During leg one, they were impressive, and they almost blew me away! At the Rockwall station, we saw them when they started half an hour after us. It’s Amazing. Great job all. I really like zongzuo’s spirit & zeal for AQ. He is always so easily excited about, you can ask his classmates about how he boasts of AQ. It exhibits his pride for AQ, & I like it exceptionally. Another commendable dude is Glenn, the fact that he ran back to school while his both legs were still suffering from crams. He fought with the grim reaper, I should say. Well done all of you.

This is the end of AQ08.

Promotions

I cant deny the fact that i was really affected by the results initially. The first 10 minutes , i lost my orientation.
I had never imagine my downfall in The Boys Brigade.

True enough, the main reason that resulted in my disappointment is when i didn get what i expect myself to achieve. Promotion its definitely a great deal to me.
Well and another factor is the lacking in this trait called " Contentment " .

Competetiveness may be the key to the lacking of " Contentment ", however we are too competetive at times & often we tend to seek something in return for the hardwork we'd put in.

Too self-critical in a sense , i did not even bother how others really judge me. I am my own judge. Sometimes i expect too much from myself & others & that causes huge disappointment when i dont get what i achieve. Guess I'm too resulted oriented & often neglect the true purpose behind things.

I must say this is a setback for me to learn from. It sets me thinking. Lowered my pride & gets me thinking on a humble ground. If i were ever promoted , i might not be thinking so much , i might not be receiving enlightenment from guoen. I might still be the complacent & proud me.

This setback will not hinder my progress definitely. Instead it helped me grew more as a leader who truly understands my path & intentions for the company. What i want to achieve at the end of the day is what i determine now.
My purpose here isnt to achieve a mere Founders man or Warrant but it is to help the company. Ranks & awards are just bonuses.
I may be a Sergeant but i have no doubt my standard is better than certain founders man or warrant from other Company.

At the end its not about winning awards & stuff but its all about me & myself.
Constantly challenging myself, constantly improving.

Limits are just not good enough , we're ought to break through them.

" If you think you're lousy, there will always be someone worse "

Constantly seek improvement.

Obstacles are already set in-place for you in life, we'll have to face them someday eventually.
They help us improve in a way or another , it may seem to be dragging us down @ times however when we overcome them , its us who gain.

Without them, if not for this time, doubt i would be thinking in this correct mindset.

Mistakes , we all learn from them.
But one will never have enough time to learn from their own mistakes, its too short.
thus we learn from other's setbacks as well.

WOFM is my Goal. My Aim @ the end of the day , is still to push BB to the very max to be the best among AHS UG.

First things first
Happy BIRTHDAY Ang Fang Ying the joy giver. ( your fave color hor.)
It was quite amazing that i got to know her, especially when its on the 1st day of School 2005.

That very day ;
Supposed to go home with Edmund Tan , however , him being the usual asshole , pang seh-ed me & i had to go home myself. ( how gay i was back then but providentially , it turned out to be a blessing in disguise ). Made my way up to Tanah Merah MRT Platform. As i escalated up , woah i caught a glimpse of 2 girls ( tanned & a chao ji bai one ) , both had long hair, wore shorter than knee-length skirt & ankle socks.
Such dress-code directed me to a word that very instant : Coolness.
I glanced @ them , at the corner of my eye , i could see their feet slowly treading towards my direction.
Ya , then it was followed by a very friendly " Hi " .
" My friend wanted to talk to you coz ure _ " She cont
" erm hi , oh , how old are u 2 "
" 13 , sec1 "
" !!?!? woah you look like a sec4, very old, anyway where ya guys heading to?"
" Tamp Mall , walk around, very boring nothing to do "

We continued somemore but i forgot what we said already

Okay i was reorganising my documents then i happened to browse through my Reviews for AQ training & the actual AQ.

Traning Review CPL Ko Ming Jun
Gym trainings.Personally I feel that the gym trainings are not much of help physically as we only started on it 2 weeks before the actual Adventure Quest. Short term trainings like this definitely did not benefit much but if the gym trainings were to start way back around January, im definite it would aid us to an excessive degree. Although the trainings did not build us up physically, but it did serve as a form of relaxation for the Adventure Quest members , as it wasn’t as tough & solemn as accustomed AQ trainings besides we get to laugh and fool around & trainings there were of OTOT ( Own time Own target) the pressure level isnt much ..Additionally it helped to maintain interest in boys, and im sure going for a one hour gym training weekly will help a lot as accumulation of little will become big.

Adventure Quest 07
The Boys Brigade Adventure Quest 2007 was quite an experience for me & im sure for the rest of the members too. The 16 of us went through think & thin , the physically shattering trainings that we attended , the Mock Races were all worthwhile.For Ex Aq members , we realized that the grapes we once thought that were sour are actually sweet. Im elated to see our result and I believed we all did out best.Actual happeningThe day before the 16 of us slept at the councilling centre 3rd storey, in order to make it in time for the Start Point for Adventure Quest @ Northbrooks secondary school the next morning at 4.30 am. We met up with Mr Poh then we headed to our destination in 3 luxurious Maxi Cab. We reached, made our final checks, kept all our valuables and “illegal items” then went into the school for registeration.The moment we got our logistic card , number tag we started plotting & telting our maps.And before I knew it it was already time to set off. At 6.45 sharp , my leg, leg 2, kayaking leg set off together with the Open team. My leg applied the “ throwing opponents behind strategy “ in other words, we chionged at the start , throwing opponent teams behind, making them lose sight of us, demoralizing them.The moment we were assured that we’re first , we begin constant pacing and at that point of time we passed check point 2 , heading for check point 3, Jonathan Tay wasn’t feeling well , so all of us paced down alittle. When he was feeling better & also when the 2nd team , Raffles Instituition, Team 216 was catching up, we then used the ” Dash when opponents are nearing “ strategy, we tried sprinting with full force when we see them , the moment they lose sight of us is the moment they’re demoralized & also the moment we grasp on to our victory title. The plan was great, however due to the rushing earlier on & pacing down , we lost momentum & thus a drainage occurred in our stamina. Slowly before the 5th checkpoint, Team 216 overtook us. I admire how constant they’re pacing were, how big they’re strides were , however that did not had us taken down. We continued behind Team 216 steadily. On the way to checkpoint 6, Edmund Chang fed us with some mint gums , that cleared our lungs and at that point of time , our breath felt so fresh. We then sprinted and almost caught up with RI. Slowly, we followed the trails of RI and head on to Kayaking. In the course of kayaking we almost caught up with them, from a distance of 400 metres we shortened it to 50 metres, im confident to say that they’re kayaking sucks big time or rather our kayaking skill is magnificent.But the moment they got onto land , they’re back on form & we slowly lost track of them. We did the river crossing after that , it was cool & the girls that helped us with the attaching of caribineer to our Personal Floatation Device motivated us. We crossed that little canal then proceed on to the Fire station where we did a 7 storey rapelling , CPR & fire fighting. The path to the fire station were grassy & filled with unexpected amount of pot holes, some of which were covered by the dense grass, and after completing, we knew how close we were to the school, we jogged back to the end point, NorthBrooks secondary school , for the final dash , we used up all our energy . The End.The course for leg 2 was a very fun one, we all did a lot of activities, the distance was lesser than I expected but it was enough to exhaust us. Seriously , I feel that the whole standard of AQ had been lowered down , it wasn’t as difficult as it seemed last year.The announcing of results brought smiles into every single one in the Relay Team, im so proud of everyone J. I believe that we can do better next year, FIRST!

yup. this training review sorta reignited my passion for Adventure Quest. This flame that has just been lighted is already illuminating my path , & my final destination. The Silver Cup.

A touching story that i wanna share

I hated her... she was such an embarrassment.
She cooked for students & teachers to support the family.
There was this one day during elementary school where my mom came to say hello to me.I was so embarrassed.
How could she do this to me?I ignored her, threw her a hateful look and ran out.

I also wanted my mom to just disappear.

My mom did not respond...

I was oblivious to her feelings.I walked out of that house, and have nothing to do with her.
So I studied real hard, got a chance to go abroad to study.
Then, I got married.
I bought a house of my own.
I had kids of my own.
I was happy with my life, my kids and the comforts.

Then one day, my mother came to visit me.
She hadn't seen me in years and she didn't even meet her grandchildren.
When she stood by the door, my children laughed at her, and I yelled at her for coming over uninvited.I screamed at her, 'How dare you come to my house and scare my children!'GET OUT OF HERE! NOW!!!'

And to this, my mother quietly answered, 'Oh, I'm so sorry. I may have gotten the wrong address,' and she disappeared out of sight.

One day, a letter regarding a school reunion came to my house.So I lied to my wife that I was going on a business trip.

HAHAH edmund didn have enough pillows so, Wj carried 2 big pillows, some snacks & some shit all the way from his hse to edmund's. wah quite funny hor. imagine someone walking in the middle of the night with 2 pillows clammed inbetween his armpits. next morning went lan, since it was raining, we played monopoly disney's edition for 3-4 hours!?

Sharity Gift Box.
nothing much happened, glad i'd been posted out to one of the satellite boxes this year @ orchard ( main box )
with bengan , nicholas & sean. ya so theres this super big booth ( as compared to others, two chairs & a box )
with air conditioning systems, good lighting , chairs & windows right outside Ngee Ann City.
ya sounds good hor? well, the generator broke down & it was raining outside , so we closed up the windows & doors. dark & stuffy. Some indian called Nathan(woah he has a namecard) , came over & changed a new set for us.
yeah i conclude that indians called Nathan are (Y) . Me & ben imparted some skills to the noobies. woah fast learners, sharp eyes, i see potential kids. HAHA.
Then @ night 2 girls came from our schl, one's a mango & the other's my prim schl friend hahha.
drums so nice hor. bussed 5 back all the way home, reached @ around 11.40.
Although it wasnt relli enjoyable , but it wasnt relli a waste of time
bonded with juniors , did charity.

Okay yesterday was AHS Open House. Did traffic control , it was kinda frustrating for some reason. There were very limited space left to park as New Parade Square was taken up by the UG booths. So i was directing the cars & simultaneously thinking of places to squeeze the cars. Along the round-about etc.Then came Uncle Hassan & his grandson i suppose. Okay the frustration lasted about 2-3 hours, then.. came my hero. Liu Hong Zhe. HAHA He's quite funny actually. He camps at every empty parking lot, then the moment parents step out of the car He'll start saying " HI GOOD MORNING SIR/MDM, LET ME GIVE YOU A SHORT INTRODUCTION TO AHS SCHOOL CHOIR. THE SCHOOL CHOIR HAS BEEN IN THIS SCHOOL FOR MANY YEARS & SINCE ITS ESTABLISHMENT IT HAS BEEN GETTING GOLD AWARD, NO SILVER, NO SILVER. ( China accent ) " then he'll say some lame adult jokes then they all laugh. Imagine him spitting all that out accompanied by his big head. hilarious. When the amount of cars coming in start to decrease i headed off to the Sound Box in AVT. Fooled around.
Eugene, ZW & Wh were inside then we started talking about CHAP. very disgusting indeed.

Something like this, very detailed. Good craftsmanship i should say.
Anyway some interesting facts about gundam wing. You see the green ball, its where the human sits & the gundam is about 9-10 storeys high. 16.7 metres to be exact.

ahh i can still rmb my first ever indian friend .back during prim schl days, met him in some P5 adventure camp.Daniel Seilveretnam, wonder where he is now ....
nvm..We have Nicholas with us and he alone suffice. ahaha
laughed at this dude called Ma Guo Hui together with mingswee and Daniel , he's really, one in a million man. Everyone took turns to abseil down a THREE storey high building. This Ma Guo Hui went up, and before he got into the position perpendicular to the wall, he screamed " AHH MY FATHER DONT LET ME, MY MOTHER DONT LET ME" *starts crying*
Then we had this high elements things where we had to climb up a 4 storeys high pole and jump for a bar which is around 1-2 metres infront of us. Well , everyone did as we were told , climb up, look at the pole and jump. mm perhaps everyone except for this Ma Guo Hui dude.. He climbed up , squat down & ..... plunged. lol. yeah but thanks to him we had fun...

Skipped the Mid Autmn festival thing in school to attend some Dance Concert at the NUS Concert Hall together with jh,ben,yaoyao & nelly. " The Next Wave~15". You might be wondering , woah 5 adolescents watchin some classy dance at some classy concert hall filled with people who are dressed up classily. theres definitely a hidden agenda hahha. I almost dozed off throughout the performances, Lovers Park, Cosmic Warriors, ???????. To adults its like woah art man (definitely a place for this educator known as jacquelyn yeo who gives lectures on the difference between left brain and right brain. If u wanna be artistic, your left brain must be big. *she's a teacher who got posted wrongly to ahs for the first week of school last year , she was then re-posted to another school*),but to us wah 1000000 pieces jigsaw puzzle. Okay so we took bus 33 from there all the way back to bedok to settle our tummies. A few of us were killing creeps & fighting mini bosses, training to fight the ultimate one during the bus journey. anyway.today was kinda dissapointing.

We didn win anythin out of AQ
it was DAM dissapointing.
Everyone trained so hard for it.
we could be first
its 100% possible
but due to suayness we didn even grab hold of the third position.
All of us.we're in this together.we developed relli good team work.
but..due to some unexpected issues..we didn get it.

But..after today's debrief..
i really really respect Lau Song Leng from now on.
He's a good leader+ planner.
as in relli relli good.

Alone,he organized and planned the AQ training scheldule and how to develop in different aspects of our fitness level.he's relli relli darn good. he organized it relli well just wif mere help from officers and friends.He gave in all for AQ..for BB14thcoy. he tried reli relli hard.
he started all this since june last year.this shows that he's relli enthu about AQ.
he worries about everyone...although he's relli kaopei at times. His trainings are very motivational..it relli boost our morale up after every training.coz we are sure that we can do it. 10 km,15km,48 km we completed them. kayaking , biking, rock-wall climbing, rapelling....all of them we comepleted them too.He finds time for aq plannin no matter wad...whether he's busy or not. he organises everything well. Its relli difficult for him to control people about his age.but we all can tell that he did his best in EVERYTHING.Im very proud to haf a senior like him.
in the past..i didn relli like him. i associate his private life and him during BB.I didn respect him at all. he's very kaopei,nonsensical.crappy.unreasonable.BUt after today..those characteristic of his had been abolish from my mind.he's now a great senior & a super bullshit friend.=D. song leng thank you so much for all that u've done for aq.=DD
